Experience Doesn’t Cost Money, It Makes Money
It is important to understand that not all Real Estate agents are Realtors®. Realtors® must adhere to the highest code of ethics required by the National Association of Realtors®. Also, not all Realtors® have completed the advanced studies and required time in real estate to obtain the highest designation of Broker.
Career Path
I entered Real Estate in 1977 working for several well known Banks and Savings & Loans. I learned the importance of thorough documentation, determining mortgage qualifications and Customer Service. Today, I am able to quickly determine if a potential Buyer is one that has the necessary qualifications, and readiness to purchase one of my Homes for sale.
Transactional Analysis
During the 1980’s, the market rendered new challenges brought about by change in Federal regulations and the advancement of Consumer Protection. At this time, I had advanced to Senior Loan officer, further increasing my skills of letter perfect documentation. At this time also acquiring the patience to listen to each Home Buyer’s needs and desires, which has proven to be an essential foundation to a Customer Service oriented relationship today. This is also where I learned how important it was to move in a timely manner and relentlessly pursue the succesful closing of each Real Estate transaction.
Transferable Skills
As a result of handling thousands of Real Estate lending transactions, in 1989 I acquired my Real Estate license and transitioned into Buyer/Seller relationships in California Real Estate. It was a natural progression to utilize my specialized training to now control both sides of the Home sale. With each client, I vow to better service my client’s needs and assure the on-time completion of the purchase.
Field Training
I attended ever Seminar, Video Presentation, Work group, in Residential, Commercial, and Agricultural Real Estate; and have been Certified in several College level Real Estate courses such as: Consumer Protection, Real Estate Principles, Agency & Ethics, Legal Aspects of Real Estate, Residential Real Estate Appraisal etc. I have worked for such note-worthy Real Estate companies as Re/max Gold, Folsom Real Estate and Lyon Real Estate which helped to increase my broad spectrum of hand-on skills, and I am very familiar with their proven methodologies. Transitioning my advanced Real Estate training, I naturally evolved into the next stage in my career.
Independence Has Advantages
Very few Real Estate Agents have the knowledeability and courage to cut-the-cord, and go completely out on their own. In 2002, after personnally Selling over 100 Homes, Farms, Ranches, Buildings and Businesses, I decided it was time to leave the regimented Corporate environment, and Recruit 5 highly skilled Licensed Executive Assistance to my Brokerage. I had earned my Brokers License and wanted to open a Real Estate Company that was focused on the individual Client needs, instead of an inflexible Corporate agenda. I also wanted my husband, Edward, to bring his Brokers License and merge his 30 years of Sales and Marketing expertise, to our new Company.
